Sluggers Co-Ed Team Secures 1st Victory of the Season


Sluggers Co-Ed Softball team played a great defense for nine innings, turning many double plays against team Martin. A 5-run rally by the Sluggers in the bottom of the eighth helped secure the victory. The final score: Sluggers 11 Team Martin 6. Congrats!

SLUGGERS MENS SOFTBALL - Second Season loss to Voss.

Deja Vu all over again. Voss gets their second win againt the Sluggers by holding ono a 24-18 win.

From Coach Ed, "We were coming back with a score of 21-24 when the umpire had to end the game due to the time limit and the score reverted back to the previous inning's score. Kudos to Brian and Scott for crushing the ball over the left field fence."

SLUGGERS MENS SOFTBALL - Third Win of the Season in a 20-8 Victory.

Sluggers go 3-1 for the season with a 20-8 Victory this past Wednesday evening.

Coach Nick's Comments:
"I learned a few things.
We need to buy Skirv better cleats.
McWherter can only hit to left.
I need to go to the batting cage.
Satao needs to move up in the lineup."

April 9, 2006 - 09:00 PM -- Tough game in the sun for the Sluggers. No home runs against a good defensive opponent. Suffer third loss of the season. Final Score: 25-6.

Dallas Stars clinch Division Title in Victory over the Mighty Ducks




The Dallas Stars clinch their 7th division title in 9 years in a 5-3 win over the Mighty Ducks in Anaheim. Go Stars!

Padres Win Homer Opener! Beat Bonds and the Giants 6-1




The San Diego Padres beat the San Francisco Giants, 6-1, in their home opener at Petco Park. Mike Piazza slams a Home Run at his first at bat as a Padre, and Khalil Greene shows some power with his first Home Run of the Season. Great B-Day Present from the Friars!

Slugger's Co-Ed Team loses in close one 7-10

Sluggers showed much improved defense but suffered their second loss of the season in a close battle with a score of 7-10. Kudos to Scott and Eric for their Home Run blasts.

Putting together a complete game with their strong defense and promising offense should help them gain their first victory of the season soon.
